At Maxum Watches, we are more than just a timepiece brand – we are a statement of culture, creativity, and passion. Founded in 1999 by Justin Veil, Maxum is proudly owned by Designa Accessories, a company with a rich history of success and innovation in the Australian fashion and accessory market.
Designa Accessories, established in 1986, became the first international distributor of GUESS products outside the USA, including clothing. From its humble beginnings in Les and Lyn Veil’s garage in 1986, Designa played a pivotal role in shaping the GUESS brand in Australia, transforming it from a complete unknown into one of the leading names in fashion. Today, we proudly distribute top-tier brands such as Guess, Ted Baker, Furla, August Berg, Rosefield, Adidas, and Timex, among others.
But Maxum Watches is our crown jewel – a 100% Australian-owned brand born from a vision to create high-quality, stylish timepieces that resonate with the pulse of contemporary culture. Under Justin Veil’s leadership, Maxum Watches was built on five essential pillars: fashion, sport, art, music, and film. These pillars are more than just values; they are the driving forces that continue to inspire and shape our designs.

Over the last two decades, Taylor’s influence in the world of surfing has been so significant that Surfer Mag consistently ranks him among the top 25 most influential figures in the industry. Not limited to the ocean, he’s also made waves in the business world, co-founding a tequila company with icons like Spike Jonze and The Beastie Boys. His creative genius has not gone unnoticed, with Fast Company Magazine recognizing him as one of the top 100 creatives in the US.
